LMI Autoprime
Tech Tips

Please be aware that the bleed line from the LMI Autoprime valve must be vented to atmosphere.

Any accumulation of chemical in the vent line may cause the Autoprime valve to malfunction. Therefore, when installing the LMI Autoprime valve, on a pump with flooded suction, the bleed tubing must be turned downwards and remain downward sloping until reaching it's discharge point. Typically this will be into a small tank that will need to be emptied on a regular basis. The preferred method would be to move the pump to the top of the day tank and then return the bleed tube into the vapor space or top of the tank. Do not submerge the vent line under any circumstances.

Keep the suction line of the pump as short and as vertical as possible to prevent gas build up and air binding of the pump.

This will maximize the effectiveness of the Autoprime valve.
