Pump Monitor Alarms

flouride saturators

The Alarm Monitor is the simple, low-cost, off-the-shelf solution to the problem of how to provide comprehensive monitoring of your electronic metering pump's condition! The ALM watches the pump and alerts you when the pump does not meter chemicals for a certain amount of time (between 1 and 100 minutes). The ALM can be configured to alert you through many different methods including a flashing light, a telephone, and a horn.

Technical Information on the ALM:

Technical Information on ALM-1 (automatically switch on a backup pump)

The ALM-1 will alert you to pump failures including loss of prime, empty supply tank, broken suction tubing, ruptured Liquifram®, and clogged check valves. The alarm unit connects quickly to LMI's Digi-Pulse® Flow Monitor, which provides one signal pulse for each pump discharge stroke. The ALM-1 contains an adjustable and resettable time delay module. Pulses from the Digi-Pulse,® reset the unit and are indicated by the pulse indicator LED on the front panel. If a pulse is not received within the time period you select (15 seconds to 5 minutes) the alarm relay is triggered. In this mode, the ALM-1 can trigger computer systems, autodialers, pagers, alarm lights, audible alarms, and/or back-up pumps. The powered relay contacts have the capacity to handle electrical loads up to 10 amps (resistive). Wiring is very simple by use of the insulated terminal strip inside the enclosure.

The new panel-mounted pulse indicator LED is also a great tool for tuning the Digi-Pulse® Flow Monitor system! For features and specifications please download our datasheet.

Technical Information on ALM-9 (automatically switch on a backup pump AND trigger an alarm!)

flouride saturators

The ALM-9 Pump Monitor generates an alarm signal if flow failure is encountered. This alarm signal is carried to the ALM-9 from the pump over the standard pump cable and initiates a piezo-electric buzzer, large flashing red LED and energizes a DPDT relay. Typical applications include automatic switching on of a backup pump and triggering a SCADA input.

Download the ALM-9 Data Sheet.

  • Input voltage: 120 VAC (50/60 Hz)
  • DPDT output relay rated at 8 amps at 120 VAC
  • Optical isolation between input signal and internal circuitry Green "Power On" LED
  • Flashing red "ALARM!" LED for visual indication of error condition
  • Internally-mounted piezo-electric audible alarm
  • Low cost, simple installation
  • Modular construction for ease-of-maintenance
  • Available with liquid-tight connections or PVC conduit connections
  • Provides low-voltage signal wiring connectivity
  • NEMA 4X-type enclosure

Technical Information on PB-ALM

The SPDT relay of the PB-ALM provides both 'normally open' (N/O) and 'normally closed' (N/C) contacts. Easy connections are provided for connecting a bell, flashing light, autodialer or cell phone pager. No special programming is required for setup.

The external green pulse indicator LED makes tuning the pump and Digi-Pulse ® a snap. An NPI exclusive!
